The Slow Down Skyline Heights (SDSH) Community Movement

Volunteer Structure:

• Spokesperson- (initiator) organizes personnel, facilitates meetings, and presents information.
• Secretary- (expediter) maintains networks, collects data, and shares communications.
• Treasurer- (financial person) collects donations, distributes funds, and keeps income and expense records.
• Street organizers- (planners) attend neighborhood meetings, start communications trees, distribute materials, make decisions, enlist and direct street leaders.
  • Street leaders- (activists) attend meetings, enlist helpers to complete tasks (i.e. pass out flyers or materials, share online media, lead street demonstrations, etc).
    • Helpers- (project supporters) stay informed, share information, voice opinions, help with tasks when needed, join demonstrations. (i.e. neighbors, teens, kids, local business owners, etc).

*SDSH will focus on the neighborhood of Skyline Heights (see map) with primary emphasis on Sandra and Linda Drive. However, we will share resources already in place to encourage those who would like to organize a movement for other subdivisions and streets within the Skyline area.

Other neighborhood subdivisions that may be affected by traffic changes made within Skyline Heights include, but are not limited to: Indian Ridge and Skyline Drive (south of the Church), and Skyline Park (all streets north of the Church and south of the Railroad tracks).
